Mount Baldy

We decided to climb Mount Baldy on Sunday; partly because it's one of the few mountains that doesn't have a lot of snow on it right now.  Like this one (looking south from Baldy):

Mount Baldy was obviously a lot drier:

 

I think we missed the actual trail part way up the mountain, so we climbed up here:

Failed Scramble (too much snow)

Oh no! ....the first hint of (knee-deep) snow 

It got worse.

 

So we went into town and had a drink.

Heart Mountain: Mid March

We stumbled on some sort of axe-wielding maniac near the top...

If you look really closely, there was an avalanche on that mountain.

Ice Caves by Bragg Creek

After spending an hour and a half in the cave, and freezing some fingers, we were greeted by a wave of warm air as we get closer to the entrance.
